Our PhilosophyIn Our Work, we are involved in development work striving to establish programmes, which are geared towards empowering the Community to develop themselves. In Our Work, we must conscientise the Community to become masters of their own destiny. Communities should be allowed to voice their own problems and be strengthened to undertake projects, which they decide on their own. In Our Work, the human being is the focal point of our projects and that efforts are made to use local resources that are available. In Our Work, an initial interim period is allowed within a given project life-time that enable to have a preparatory work with local community, grace period considered according to the nature and circumstances of the project. In Our Work, one striking learning experience was that, what is theoretically viable might not be practical in the fields. Community development is therefore a complex process of human evolution that empowers the community at grassroots’ levels. Sustainability is achieved by enhanced participation of all partners in the development process. Community holistic development is sustainable and empowering. It reaches the human dignity. |
